Our Journey

Originated In 2004 In San Jose, With Over 20 Years Of Industrial Experience, We Now Boast Mass Production Capabilities Across Multiple Locations, Advancing The Minimally Invasive Industry.

Medeologix has been servicing the medical device community since 2004 when Ross Tsugita, a veteran medical device engineer started Second Source Medical providing product design, prototyping, testing, and small scale production in its FDA registered Class 7 clean room with a quality system that meets ISO 13845 and GMP standards.

Pioneering Medical Device Solutions

Second Source Medical quickly established itself as a leader in the design and production of diverse medical devices. Our portfolio includes plastic and metal components, subassemblies, and finished devices such as vascular catheters, introducer sheath/dilators, Pulsed Field Ablation systems, braided Nitinol occlusion meshes, cerebral drainage tube sets, pulse oximeters, glaucoma and cataract surgical tools, and gastric balloons. These products serve critical applications in cardiology, neuro intervention, peripheral vascular, structural heart, neurostimulation, gastroenterology, and ophthalmology, with production volumes reaching up to 40,000 units annually.

Our clients’ success stories speak volumes. Many began their journey with Second Source Medical as startups and have grown into market leaders, achieving IPOs or strategic acquisitions. Others, with established products, sought our expertise for superior service and quality. We are proud to have supported these companies in bringing their innovations to market from our San Jose facility for over a decade.

Expanding Horizons With Medeologix

With growing demands for volume and quality, and to better service the community, Second Source Medical joined Medeologix in 2022. Medeologix now possesses advanced development and Design for Manufacturing(DFM) capabilities, as well as mass production capacity in the millions across 3 global locations. Our comprehensive services include worldwide sourcing, supply chain management, and warehouse fulfillment.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we responded to the urgent need for medical supplies by expanding into medical tubing extrusion, medical balloon forming, and PET heat shrink tubing. By integrating Anant Hegde and his Mediballoon operations in Union City, CA, and leveraging Anant’s 30 years of expertise in medical balloon and catheter design, we significantly bolstered our capacity to meet the industry's growing demands.
